First, we want to say thank you to all the 2006 racers who got interferance from mother nature on Saturady but stuck to it and gave us a great show on Sunday. We don't know where all that cool air came from but it did make a whole bunch of you fast! It did have us making some safety adjustments, the Quick Class and final round NSS did only run the 1/8 mile. We are happy to report in December Houston Raceway Park repaved the 'big end' so we are looking forward to the full 1/4 mile this year.

For 2007 we are running a Cruise and race for hunger, welcoming our new event sponsor MOPARS BY CRANE. The Sunday show in 2006 showed us how much fun we could have bringing our car crazy friends along with us in the race program. Look again for the Texas Outsiders season finale, Nostalgia Super Stock and Nostalgia Muscle Cars and we welcome SS/STOCK ELIMINATOR.
Still want to bracket race? Don't worry we are ready for you. With a special ALL MOPAR RACE SATURDAY (box and no box), and racing open to ALL BRANDS ON SUNDAY(Super Pro, pro and Sportsman). Please check the race class page for class details and note that ALL BRANDS time trials will be run on Saturday.

Many asked us to go to a Mopar only program, so we are making Saturday racing Mopar power only. We hope the Mopar family will rejoin us on Sunday for the open racing program to support the Houston Food bank.

A word from the web master...
For those of you who did not make it to the event in 2005, you missed a good one. D&M Promotions did a great job of organizing everything from the race and car show to the vendors midway. Even though they had the cards stacked against them just a few short weeks before the event with hurricane Katrina making her presence felt, they managed to pull it off. From what I saw last year and the things to come this year, this will be an awesome event!
We hope you enjoy the newly designed web site. There will be a lot more info coming as now we have a spring event the So-Cal Mopar Shootout so check back frequently.
